Jane gave her first talk in primary last month about being baptised. For those of you who haven't met Jane in person she's really not all that shy. Especially when she gets to talk in a microphone. Just a quick side note . . . A few months ago she got to say the prayer in primary.(Brent wasn't there becasue he had to teach a Sunday school class and I was home with Ethan because he was sick). Well we heard about Jane's prayer from quite a few people. We kinda got different stories from everyone but basically after she was done with the prayer she grabbed the microphone and said, (in a very loud authoritative voice)
"Ok, everybody, listen to me. It's time to be quite and listen to the teacher!"
Yes she is quite comical sometimes. But anytime we teach Jane something new we act it out. So before she had to give her prayer (or talk) we pretend we are the primary children so she can practise doing the prayer/talk.
But the whole, "Be quite and listen to the teacher!" came from a FHE lesson Brent gave because Jane was just brand new into primary and she was a little loud. So we practised being quite when the teacher is talking.
Anyhow, sorry about the big tangent. So yeah she gave a talk and did very well. I only had to help with a few words but other than that she could do it all by herself. I'm glad Brent thought of acting things out because for Jane it seems to really help her learn and understand things a lot better.

"Hi, Jane!!" - from the wallins
YAY!! It worked. Jane says, "Hi" too.
that is hilarious. "Be quiet and listen to the teacher". That will come in handy seeing as how I'm Luke's new primary teacher. OUCH.

Oh, very fun. He seems like a fun little guy to have in your class. But I guess that might be different when you're the parent. Good luck with that.
